1. Overview

Y204-R expands the Yanji Ethernet DTU portfolio to four independent serial channels. Each COM port can be configured as RS232 or RS485, and each carries dual socket contexts (A/B). Combined with a 10/100 M RJ45 uplink, Y204-R replaces legacy serial device servers by adding transparent TCP/UDP/HTTP/MQTT tunnels, Modbus RTU ↔ TCP gateway capability, and web-based management without touching cabinet wiring.

Installation tips:

  • Provide ≥20 mm clearance for airflow and RJ45 bend radius.
  • Route shielded RS485 pairs separately from AC mains; bond shields at one end.
  • Use ferrules on terminal wiring to prevent loose strands during maintenance.
