1. Overview

Y202-R is the dual-port member of the Yanji standard DTU family. It embeds two independent serial channels (RS232 or RS485 selectable per port) plus a 10/100 M Ethernet uplink for control cabinets that require redundant PLC, meter, or protection relays over TCP/IP. Each serial channel is paired with Socket A/B contexts, enabling simultaneous TCP/UDP/HTTP/MQTT data paths or Modbus RTU ↔ TCP conversion without touching legacy wiring.

Installation guidelines:

  • Keep ≥15 mm clearance around the case for airflow and RJ45 bend radius.
  • Bond the DIN rail to protective earth when RS485 runs exceed 30 m.
  • Use shielded twisted pair for RS485, terminate 120 Ω at bus ends, and keep drop cables <1 m.

7. Application Notes

  • Dual-Bus SCADA Retrofit – Map COM1 Socket A to TCP Server for SCADA polling, COM1 Socket B to MQTT for cloud dashboards, while COM2 handles a separate PLC line via Modbus gateway.
  • Redundant Control Rooms – Configure Socket A as TCP Client to control room A, Socket B as UDP Client to control room B. Heartbeats alert each center if the other loses connectivity.
  • HVAC / Power Panels – Use registration packets (MAC or custom ID) so upstream platforms can automatically index multiple Y202-R units upon connection.
